Pepsi

Pepsi defined big time advertising starting with the reign of Phil Dusenberry, Alan Pottasch, and Roger Enrico.  From Michael Jackson to Madonna, Cindy Crawford, Michael J. Fox, and then to Britney and Beyonce,  Pepsi advertising destroyed the traditional boundaries of advertising and marketing.  They kicked arch rival Coca Cola’s butt up and down the street and became the leading selling soft drink when choice was an issue.   Recently, Coca Cola has risen as a brand and Pepsi has lost the way with the loss of Phil, Alan, and Roger, but the legacy is part of advertising history.
