Altair is passing Diamond Rock in Martinique on the way to winning (dominating) the Panerai Transat Classique ‘across the Atlantic’ race. We won by over a day and a half and Captain Steph Benfield set a record for boats of this kind. We received a message in the middle of the race that said that no schooner had ever sailed so quickly in recorded history.
Not bad for an old boat.
