I was doing a documentary and somehow connected with Orson Welles to do a part of the narration. He read the stuff and consented. We met a few times and my then partner, Rift Fournier, discussed us doing a magic show television special. Welles was keen to do it (he needed money) and Rift got AT &T to commit. The thing blew apart when Orson got into some trouble with the IRS. He did do the narration, however, and he flattered me by asking me to film some stuff for his ongoing DON QUIXOTE film. Alas, we never met again but it was thrilling to hear my script spoken by him. He did it gratis.
