Alain

Alain had been the sous-chef at Citrus under Michel Richard, but Richard got sick of Los Angeles and moved to acclaim in Washington, D.C. His restaurant Citronelle there, became iconic and made Washington a ‘food destination.’ At Citrus, Alain had a perfect French personality, almost a Hollywood stereotype. I jumped at the chance to work with him when he became available.
